If your current radio does NOT have two small holes at each side on the front of the radio, this radio is NOT the right one for you. Some F150, Expedition, and Navigator vehicles may have some inner dash plastic that keeps the radio from sliding in all the way. This is not structural and can be easily removed with a dremel or other small cutting tool. Some 2001 and 2002 Explorers and Mountaineers have a different mounting system that uses front mounting brackets. *Some police interceptors and Ford trucks before 2002 will have the compatible plugs but do not have enough space in the dash for the radio to fit, there are units that are shorter in the back and taller in the front that will fit these applications.
