This is a genuine Sega CD Model 1 unit with a working CD drive that reads Sega CD discs as pictured.
Sonic CD is only pictured to illustrate that the drive does eject correctly and close to boot CD games. Neither Sonic CD OR the Model 1 Sega Genesis are included in this listing.
The CD unit does have issues reading some audio off of CDs. It stutters a bit in playback which means that it likely needs its capacitors replaced. It is a 30 year old unit after all!
I have taken good care of the unit as long as it’s been in my possession, and have tested it thoroughly for capabilities.
